Lila Ibrahim has over 25 years of experience as a leader and innovator in the global technology industry. She most recently served as COO of Coursera, a company that she helped to build from its early stages — first in her role as a partner at the prominent venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, one of Coursera's earliest investors, and later as the company’s first business executive. Previously, she held multiple technical and leadership roles with Intel Corporation, including Chief of Staff to the former CEO and Chairman. She serves on the Board of Directors for Gannett Co., Inc., and is the co-founder and Executive Chair of Team4Tech, an education technology non-profit. Lila's achievements have garnered wide recognition, including a two-year appointment to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce’s National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (2014-2016). She has also been recognized by the Aspen Institute (Crown Fellow, 2011 and Braddock Scholar, 2012), the World Economic Forum (Young Global Leader 2007-2012), the Anita Borg Institute (Women of Vision, 2010), and Purdue University (Outstanding Electrical and Computer Engineering Alumni, 2010). Lila holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
